Hello, I’m Harley…

I’m a Senior Digital Designer and UX/UI design specialist based in Bournemouth UK. I work with a range of clients – from startups and small businesses, to large national organisations – and create brands, design websites and marketing assets and solve problems for their users.

I am currently the UX Lead at the creative digital agency Studio Republic where I lead on the user experience aspects across all projects with national and global charities and large purpose driven organisations. I also work as a freelance designer primarily with startups and small businesses.

I have over 7 years of experience within the industry having graduated from the Arts University Bournemouth with a degree in Visual Communication. I started my career as a multidisciplinary designer working across all aspects of digital and graphic design including, logo design, branding, advertising, web design, app design, print design, social media graphics and more which built my design skills as well as my project management abilities.

As my career has progressed I have specialised more specifically in the design of websites and other digital products focussing on my UX and UI skills to fulfil my passion for delivering digital products that provide excellent user experiences.

As Steve Jobs said, “Design isn’t just what it looks like and feels like — design is how it works”. This sums up my approach to design – work that not only looks great but most importantly works for businesses and their users. I believe that the digital world should be accessible for all and feel it is my mission and responsibility to ensure this happens through the work that I design and build.

I love getting to know different businesses of all sizes and understanding the problems that need to be solved in order to deliver results for their audiences.
